Who We Are

Tiferes Mordechai was founded in 2013 to serve the unique needs of children in the special education sector of Brooklyn, New York.

Our mission is to provide children with special needs, the opportunity to build skills in all areas, thereby improving their quality of life and the lives of their loved ones.

At Tiferes Mordechai, we utilize Applied Behavior Analysis in conjunction with Natural Environment Teaching and Behavior Modification to create a highly individualized program for each student.

In this way, we approach each child as an individual with their own potential and one-of-a-kind needs.

Unique Comprehensive Programming

1:1 Student-Teacher Instruction

Each student is paired with his or her own instructor to ensure and document progress on a daily basis.

Specialized Therapies

Our students have access to specialized therapies including physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, feeding & swallowing therapy, vision therapy, music therapy, animal therapy, aquatic therapy, and more!

Assistive Technology Integration

Our staff and students are trained in assistive technology in order to improve communication amongst non-verbal and minimally verbal students.

Our Facilities

All In One Center

Our school is housed in a state of the art medical center and is wheelchair accessible.

This enables us to have access to a complete medical team consisting of varied doctors, nurses, and specialists.

School with a pool

Our facility includes a heated therapeutic pool where students receive weekly aquatic therapy.

Our new amenities will include beautifully designed classrooms, a rooftop playground, Snoezelen room, and a variety of therapeutic gyms, to name but a few.

We also employ an administrative team which includes Board Certified Behavior Analysts, Curriculum Coordinators, and a Licensed Family Therapist who meet on a regular basis to discuss student progress and review programming.

We analyze the function of a child's behavior to create a detailed plan to address behavioral concerns.

Sensory Program

Students receive customized sensory diets and a host of sensory integrative programs to improve regulation, focus, and attention.
